The Kervansaray is located on the main street of Armutalan and is famous for its Turkey Night show. When you walk from Amphitheatre towards to the centre of Armutalan the Kervansaray is on the right side near the traffic lights  - see link to map showing location..

If you want to see a real Turkish Night then you must to come to Kervansaray. Come, see and enjoy the real Turkish Night in nice atmosphere and surroundings. Kervansaray also has an outdoor restaurant which is very pleasant when there is a light cooling breeze blowing during the hot summer evenings. During the Spring and Autumn months the show is performed inside.

The menu served during the Turkish Night includes: Turkish meze plate (starters), chicken snitzel with salads with lots of fresh fruit for dessert. White and red wine and water are on the table while soft drinks and beer are available from the bar.

Evening starts about 2030 hours with "Two Men" Ottoman band beginning the show as more and more people arrive and the place begins to fill. The host of the evening is familiar to many people and she will describe the program of the evening. It´s time to raise the glasses and start the Turkish night at the Kervansaray: serefe!(cheers!)

Evening´s first performance is a folkdance group which will present the dance and story of Mevlana. This same group will also later present many different dances from many regions of Turkey. You will see the Anatolian Proposal dance and the local folk dance from Muğla among others. During the evening you are also welcome to take to the floor and dance to the rythm of the Turkish music.

A belly dancer will follow and present her marvellous show. The movements of her flexible body and the shaking of her hips will make a ever lasting impression. Her show is both versatile and very professional.

Later it is the turn of the famous Mr Ögün. He is also called "The Snake" because of his movements which seem impossible for a human body. He is very well known in the group of the belly dancers and his movements are carefully watched. You will wonder at the movements of his hips and stomach during his show. This is the way a real professional performs. He really takes the audience and charms them. You can see that he is enjoying his performance and so will you.

Later during the show there will be "The Fire Show". The performer handles burning bricks and metal rings which he moves around his body with seemly no concern for the fire and heat. The hair on his hands even seems to be burning which he appears not to notice.

The finale is the Dance competition when ladies from the audience who have volunteered can choose their belly dance costumes and put on their own performance in their own style. When all the competitors have completed their performances the best will be choose by applause. So cheer for your favourite.

You will come away with long lasting memories from Kervansaray Turkish Night. Photographs and CDs are sold at the end of the evening which make great souvenirs to view again later or to show your friends and family.

The performance ends at midnight but will be presented every evening throughout the season.
